Houdt deze dingen in herinnering en bezweer voor de de Heere, dat zij geen woordenstrijd voeren, die niemand tot nut is [dan] tot de ondergang van de toehoorders.

SVBreng deze dingen in gedachtenis, en betuig voor den Heere, dat zij geen woordenstrijd voeren, [hetwelk] tot geen ding nut is, [dan] tot verkering der toehoorders.

Alex ταυτα υπομιμνησκε διαμαρτυρομενος ενωπιον του θεου μη λογομαχειν επ ουδεν χρησιμον επι καταστροφη των ακουοντων
ASVOf these things put them in remembrance, charging [them] in the sight of the Lord, that they strive not about words, to no profit, to the subverting of them that hear.
BEPut these things before them, giving them orders in the name of the Lord to keep themselves from fighting about words, which is of no profit, only causing error in their hearers.
